Timeline of the Project

2022

The project began with Simon ALBERIC as an intern; the goal is to use the HAL APIs to better showcase the scientific output of the laboratory. With a first version of etHALage now live, which will continue to evolve in the future.

2023

Hiring of Lucie CARDON as an intern to resume the previous work but make it more configurable, particularly in light of changes in HAL such as the DocType updates and the discontinuation of DOUV , for example. New features are added, such as the ability to export the displayed publications.

2024

New improvements have been made by Lucas BRODA, an intern on the project, such as the addition of a feature to determine the statistics associated with the results of the HAL API. In addition, changes continued to be made to the configuration, and it was at the end of this period that the first version of etHALage for RENATECH and PEPR-Électronique was released.

2025

A patent management system using a new application metHALdonnées is being implemented by Saad LAHLOU, an intern at the platform. We are taking this opportunity to integrate the unit's list of aith_idHal and perform site maintenance (updates, design, optimization, etc.).

2026

The etHALage project is taking off with a new initiative, etHALonnage for site generation of etHALage via a simple web interface. From now on, any HAL unit or collection can have its own instance of etHALage.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Yes, the app uses the HAL API to retrieve the latest posts as soon as they appear in HAL and are associated with your collection.

Yes, you can view an “Author” page and export the results via etHALage; however, only publications from the collection will be included. If the author has publications outside the collection, they will not be included.

No, the system retrieves the information from HAL; if there is a duplicate, it must be corrected in the data source, namely HAL.

No, the system is based on collCode source; it is the collection code that “defines” the source of the content regardless of the collection (Laboratory, Team, Network, GDR, Research Projects, etc.).

Yes, very soon anyone will be able to create their own instance with étHALonnage, just a little more patience ;-)
